Routine Information Collection

None of this information can personally identify specific visitors to this site. If you click the Remember checkbox prior to searching for a map location, Map Pedometer will save the coordinates of the location in a browser cookie on this computer. Other users of this computer may be able to view the saved location.

Advertising partners and other third parties may also use cookies, scripts and/or web beacons to track visitors to our site in order to display advertisements and other useful information. Such tracking is done directly by the third parties through their own servers and is subject to their own privacy policies.

Map Data

If you click on the "Save Route" button after entering map route information, your route information will be saved. Your route information may be associated with your bulletin board user information (if applicable) and/or your Facebook user information (if applicable). All saved routes are currently publicly available and can be seen by other users. If you do not save your route, your route data will not be stored and will not be available to other users. You may post links to your saved route information on any website.  Users clicking on your saved route link will see the route information which you saved. If you are logged in when you save your route, your user id number will be stored with your saved route. Storing your user id information with your routes will allow you to retrieve a list of the routes that you saved. If you do not want your user id number to be stored with your saved routes, log out of the site before saving routes.

MapQuest Elevation / Altitude Data

Elevation Courtesy of MapQuest . Map locations from map routes are shared with MapQuest to create elevation / altitude graphs and data. Details regarding MapQuest's privacy policy can be found on their privacy policy page.
